About Sports
Sports teach us what cannot be taught within the four walls of a classroom. Rosary has always looked beyond academics for Rosary believes every child is special and blessed with unique talents. We believe in all round development of a child so extra-curricular activities are given its due importance.
Rosary has been pioneer in Sports, promoting both individual and team games. Football, the most popular game in the world was introduced in our city by our school about more than 60 years ago. Cricket, basketball, skating, and Marcel Arts are our other main sports where regular coaching is imparted. We welcome children from other schools too.
Football
Rosary is synonymous with Football. We have played a vital role in popularizing the game. Our players have always performed well and every year many of them represent the state teams. In the past, some of them have made a mark at the national level. We have qualified, experienced and committed coaches on the field coaching children, right from the age of 8. They are trained well and grow in talent and endurance. Rosary participates in all important tournaments and also organizes, “U-13 Late Rustom Patel Inter-School Tournament for boys.
Cricket
Cricket is undoubtedly the most sought after game. Anshuman Gaekwad Cricket Academy assists us in imparting cricket coaching started about 6 years ago and already many of our boys have been selected in the BCA team in different age groups. Children start at an early age of 10 years. Professional coaching by qualified coaches using modern aids and techniques help to have an overall development and wherever needed particular skills or weaknesses are attended to. Personal attention is given to players.
Basketball
About 25 years ago, Rosary led the Basketball revolution in our city organizing state level invitation tournaments which not only popularized the game but many youngsters took up the game and today we take pride in announcing that most of the coaches of Baroda have been trained on our courts. Basketball has also gained the much needed attention and our players both boys and girls have been doing extremely well. Coaching is imparted for children from 8 years by qualified, excellent coaches. Separate court for small children helps in giving focused training.
Skating
35 years ago, Skating was introduced in our school and there is no looking back since then. Children from a very small age of 5 years come for training in the evening. A team of coaches help them to take the first step and they go on to clinch medals in the state and national championships.
With a legacy of sporting culture and our attitude to encourage sports, many of our students have excelled in Table Tennis, Athletics, Chess, Badminton, Go-Karting and other sports.
